Mr. Dancy accepted an appointment as an acquisitions analyst and advisor with Analytical Services, Inc (known as ANSER) providing contract support to the Department of Defense (DoD) chemical and biological defense program in 2022. In his role as a subject matter expert, he conducts analysis and provides advice in support of research, development and acquisition. Additionally, he collaborates with government personnel, and Mr. Dancy mentors contract and subcontractor support personnel to ensure they conduct appropriate analyses and present constructive advice to the Department of Defense.

Extensive and varied military experience accompanies Mr. Dancy in his current role; notably, he dedicated 23 years to active duty in the United States Army and committed to five years of reservist duty. Most recently, he was a defense business analyst with ANSER supporting the DoD Chief Information Officer from 2020 to 2022, and from 2018 to 2020, he excelled as an Army command and control (C2) mission command requirement analyst at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel for Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) G-8 Force Development Directorate. In 2017, Mr. Dancy was named an executive officer for the HQDA G-8 director of resources, prior to which he thrived as a joint protection requirements analyst, HQDA G-8, in the Requirements and Assessment Division from 2016 to 2017.

From 2013 through 2016, Mr. Dancy prospered in the role of chief of capabilities and analysis for the U.S. Army Brigade/Joint Modernization Command, Training and Doctrine Command. In this capacity, he contributed to the modernization of current equipment through updates and research and development initiatives. While serving at the rank of major during a 2012 NATO training mission, Mr. Dancy was named an organizational integrator for the Afghan Uniform Police, and in 2012 he proudly acted as an executive officer for the assistant deputy commanding general for special police forces.

From 1993 through 2011, Mr. Dancy further shaped his profile with distinct assignments as a U.S. Army Reserve engineer and transportation officer, construction and traffic engineering assistant with the Illinois Department of Transportation, program analyst, casualty case management team leader and human resources officer. Notably, Mr. Dancy also prospered as a special agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where from 2004 to 2006 he was active in assisting criminal squads and administering search and arrest warrants while holding a post in the administrative division of the Washington field office.

In his distinguished service roles, Mr. Dancy has relied on comprehensive academic training, including a Bachelor of Applied Science in industrial technology from Western Illinois University, which he completed in 1992. He progressed to graduate studies at the University of Illinois Springfield where he earned a Master of Public Administration in 2002. Mr. Dancy is also proud to have finished a Master of Military Art and Science at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

Distinguished credentials have also proven key to Mr. Dancy’s advancement and include Life Cycle Logistics Level I Certification, Information Technology Mid-Level II Certification, Systems Engineering Mid-Level II Certification, and Program Management Mid-Level II Certification from the Defense Acquisition University. He also completed the Requirement and Capability Development Advanced Level C Certification from Army Logistics University, and Mr. Dancy has been designated a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.

Civic service remains a key priority for Mr. Dancy. He has dedicated ample time and resources to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, serving on the Board of Trustees from 2008 to 2012, and he has participated as an usher and a participant in the chorus ministries since 2023. Mr. Dancy is also a member of the male chorus of the Alfred Street Baptist Church, where he has been a congregant since 2020, and he is proud to have been designated a life member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

Mr. Dancy has been duly recognized for his exceptional service and humbly accepted the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, and Operation Iraqi Freedom Champaign Medal. In 1998, 2004 and 2008, he was honored with the Army Commendation and in 2011, 2016 and 2020, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal from the U.S. Army. Notably, Mr. Dancy received the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Bronze Star Medal for service during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan in 2012.

Mr. Dancy remains proud of his work during deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Joint Guard in Bosnia.
