His most notable accomplishments include creating a bronze monument in 1987 for the 200th Anniversary of the Constitution at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines.

MURCHISON, TX, April 02, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — David Rodger Cantrell has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on over 30 years of experience as an artist and designer, he is responsible for illustrations, interface and identity design, sculpture, and photography as the owner and creative director of the Cantrell Design Group, a company he launched with his daughter, Danica Cantrell. His late wife, Anne Cantrell, was pivotal in providing them with support and insight from her astrological reports, psychological books, and innate intuitive wisdom.

Mr. Cantrell’s natural ability to connect with others led him to spiritual and patriotic organizations for peace and community engagement that directed his path forward. He attributes much of his success to several opportunities being presented to him and being in the right place at the right time. He graduated Cum Laude from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art.

Having spent over two decades as an artist and graphic user interface designer at Vanguard Mutual Funds, a multi-trillion dollar investment advisor in Malvern, Pennsylvania, Mr. Cantrell was responsible for designing user interaction for various sections on the company’s website for 15 years. He most recently collaborated with Vanguard’s portfolio managers to develop their custom software for trading billions of dollars worth of investments worldwide. Mr. Cantrell also garnered expertise with Thomson Reuters as a human factors designer on their custom financial software and with Reality Online, Inc., a company which was later bought by Thomson Reuters. During an earlier stage of his career, he created computer based training simulations with the Strategic Management Group, a company that started from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He also taught an art and design class, ‘Principles of Visual Design’ at Vanguard University, for 10 years.

Throughout his career, Mr. Cantrell has become well-versed in various mediums. His most notable accomplishments include creating a bronze monument in 1987 for the 200th Anniversary of the Constitution at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. The memorial featured the Preamble to the Constitution, Independence Hall upon the Introduction to the Declaration of Independence, and surrounded by several Founding Fathers overlaying a map of the world. The sculpture has since been duplicated at the capitol in Pierre, South Dakota. Mr. Cantrell designed another bronze monument in Des Moines, Iowa, highlighting President Ronald Reagan to commemorate the Anniversary of the Berlin Wall coming down. He also created a bronze sculpture of Oilfield Roughnecks for several oil companies, and numerous illustrations for car companies in Pennsylvania and received a Tulsa State Fair Award for his illustration work.

Looking toward future opportunities, Mr. Cantrell plans to continue working with his daughter and marketing his sculptures. However, since he is retired from his former career, he no longer needs to work on a full-time basis, although he still enjoys remaining active in the field and looks forward to obtaining new projects.
