Apple has reduced the cost of battery replacement for iPhone 13 or older models by US$20 (approx. up to US$89 (approx. Rs. 7,300.) effective March 1). It used to be priced at US$ 69 (approx. Rs. 5,700 .) However, AppleCare+ subscribers can replace their iPhone batteries at no additional cost if the battery lasts less than 80 percent of its original capacity.Apple announced it was increasing battery replacement costs earlier this year, and now the price increase is active.
According to Apple support pageusers have to pay US$89 to replace batteries for all iPhone models out of warranty in the iPhone 13, iphone 12, iphone 11 And iPhone X lineups. The Cupertino-based company used to charge $69 to replace the battery on these phones. The battery replacement costs for iPhone models are also increasing iPhone SE, iPhone 8and other older iPhone lines are now $69, up from $49 (about Rs. 4,000).
Apple already supports battery replacement for iPhone 5 from 2012. Especially battery replacement for the latest iPhone series, iPhone 14costs $99 (about Rs. 8,000).
However, iPhone users can have their batteries replaced for free if they have the AppleCare+ plan. AppleCare+ members can have their iPhone batteries replaced for free if the battery lasts less than 80 percent of its original capacity, the company says.
Meanwhile, Apple Approved iOS 16.4 Beta 2 for developers with improved “5G Standalone” feature added with iOS 16.4 Beta 1.
