He also made substantial contributions to The Hershey Company as a senior manager in digital content operations and analytics from 2019 to 2021 and at the rank of senior manager for digital capabilities and technology platforms from 2018 to 2019. Notably, Mr. Castaneda’s tenure with Hershey began when he was appointed the profitability revenue growth manager in 2014 and the finance manager for Walmart/Clubs – North America in 2016.

Mr. Castaneda’s career also includes roles at Danone S.A., Jugos Del Valle and Herbalife, where he accumulated diverse experience in financial analysis and revenue growth management before transitioning into the digital marketing arena. One pivotal moment in his diverse career was his role in an innovative partnership between Uber and Hershey, a campaign that not only enhanced Hershey’s brand visibility but demonstrated Mr. Castaneda’s ability to forge successful collaborations between traditional consumer goods companies and modern tech platforms. Notably, his strategic vision—and efforts to install pilot initiatives linking the United States and global locales—earned Mr. Castaneda recognition in several online publications.

Mr. Castaneda’s academic background has proven instrumental in his professional achievements. He earned a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores in Monterrey, Mexico, in 2009, where he also completed a diploma course in corporate finance in 2012. Additionally, he holds an Executive Master of Business Administration in marketing and supply chain from Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University, which he completed in 2018, and Mr. Castaneda enhanced his skill set by completing the strategy and innovation: digital transformation program at the prestigious MIT Sloan School of Management in 2020.
