NEW YORK, NY, July 19, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Vladimir Deming has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on extensive and intensive years of professional art education and experience, Mr. Deming excels in three artistic areas: the design and fabrication of contemporary art jewelry, commercial ceramic restoration (collectables including antiques), and teaching these arts to his students. At The Little Studio, which he founded in New York City, he has developed a unique, recognizable jewelry design style utilizing various techniques and materials (www.vladimirdeming.com) which he displays and sells at exhibitions and to private customers. Mr. Deming, also, at the Studio, teaches private one-on-one courses (www.thelittlestudio.com) spanning from hand-craft jewelry techniques for beginners and practitioners to ceramic restoration and the art of marquetry.

From 1987 until 2006, Mr. Deming worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. In this capacity, Mr. Deming instructed a commercial ceramic restoration course, helped manage departmental college exhibitions, and received a Merit Award from the Center for Excellence in Teaching. Also, at FIT, Mr. Deming was an instructor of the course Handmade Costume Jewelry at FIT.

During the early stages of his career, Mr. Deming earned a master’s degree in 1962 in decorative art from the Academy of Industrial Art in St. Petersburg, Russia. He gained valuable expertise by studying under masters who worked in the historical palaces, and by working in the highly respected Commission of Arts and Sculpture. Living for a short time in Europe, he designed and fabricated jewelry for the Vienna Opera House in Austria. After moving to New York City, Mr. Deming worked as an expediter at Monet Jewelers, and as a jewelry designer at Carvin French Jewelry and Gemveto Jewelry Co. Always experimenting in diverse arts with new techniques and different materials, Mr. Deming, also, created a unique line decorating tiles with the images of semi-precious stones, which he called Tilestone.

Outside of his work, Mr. Deming is affiliated with the American Pilots Association, National Rifle Association, and American Marquetry Society. His hobbies have included technical reading, hiking, fencing, flying, boating and karate.

Mr. Deming’s professional achievements speak volumes about his competence and excellence. He has been honored earning an Award for Excellence in St. Petersburg, Russia, and a Product Design Competition Award in America. While his career, so far, has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in working at the Vienna Opera House in Austria and mentoring approximately four hundred industry professionals at FIT and at The Little Studio. Looking forward, Mr. Deming aims to extend his collection of Contemporary Art Jewelry, continue to work as an educator, complete his book of Contemporary Art Jewelry, and, at the same time, work on his autobiography.
