Prior to her current role, Ms. Norton had an illustrious career with AmerisourceBergen Corporation (now Cencora). From 2012 to 2022, she served as senior vice president of government affairs and public policy, where she built the company’s presence in DC and played a pivotal role in public policy development to support a positive business environment for the company and industry. Previously, she was vice president of government affairs from 2004 when she opened the Fortune 10 company DC office, to 2012. Her 18-year tenure at AmerisourceBergen was marked by significant contributions to the company’s growth and influence in the health care sector.

Ms. Norton’s career also includes notable positions at other major corporations. From 1997 to 2004, she was vice president of government affairs at Amgen, where she was instrumental in shaping the company’s public policy strategies. Before Amgen, she held the same title at Hoffmann-La Roche., establishing and solidifying her policy leadership and expertise in government affairs and public policy development becoming one of the youngest heads of a DC office in the healthcare industry at the time. Earlier in her career she worked on Capitol Hill for the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee where she learned firsthand the intricacies and levers of influence of the lawmaking process.

Ms. Norton’s academic background laid a strong foundation for her successful career. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications and political science from Marquette University. She also completed executive education in Leadership and Management and Finance at Columbia University. Her strong work ethic and dedication have been significant driving forces behind her accomplishments, enabling her to cultivate successful teams and provide guidance to numerous individuals throughout her career.

Ms. Norton’s professional affiliations are extensive and include Board seats in several industry-related organizations such as the Life Sciences Pennsylvania (LSPA) where she continues to lead the Board Advocacy Committee, the Ripon Society, and the Washington International Horse Show Association. In addition, she serves on the Boards of several non-profit organizations including the Cloverleaf Equine Therapy Center, the Children’s Charities Foundation where she was awarded the “Star for Children” award in 2015, and previously on the National Osteoporosis Foundation and Multiple Sclerosis Society National Capital Region. She has also been actively engaged in several professional associations including the Economic Club of Washington, DC, the Global Women’s Innovation Network (GlobalWin), the Business and Government Relations Council, and the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Norton enjoys traveling, equine sports, reading, and spending time with her family. Looking ahead, she aims to further develop her consulting career and seeks opportunities to contribute as a member of a for-profit board.
