In addition to her primary calling, she has served as Key Largo Marine Tours’ First Mate since 2018. Prior to this role, Ms. Navarro worked at The Hemingway Home and Museum in Key West, Florida.
Before embarking on her professional career, Ms. Navarro trained at the Pittsburgh Career Institute, where she earned a technical degree in web design. As a dedication to her field, she has received an animal show permit from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Ms. Navarro, who is also dedicated to civic advocacy, has contributed to various nonprofit organizations and volunteered at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Animal Farm, a local animal shelter for abused and confiscated animals.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Navarro is most proud of her ability to care for her rescued foxes and provide them with a happy, restful, and thriving environment that is markedly different from the caged and deprived life they were subjected to for the purpose fur production. When she reflects on her career, she attributes much of her success to her hope and commitment to what she believes is right. In addition, Ms. Navarro is pleased to have volunteered at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office where two foxes were given to their certified zoo, sparking her interest in foxes and endeavoring to found a non-profit rescue organization on her behalf found.
