The Pride just keep winning. The top ranked team in the NWSL won their sixth straight game with a 1-0 win over the Chicago Red Stars on the road Sunday.
With the win, Orlando extended it’s unbeaten streak to an impressive 20 games.
Pride forward Marta scored the game’s lone goal with a rocket of a strike in the 37th minute, her sixth goal of the season.
“Every game is a challenge, right? Chicago are trying to keep themselves in the playoff positions and we obviously want to keep ourselves at the top of the table,” Pride coach Seb Hines said after the match. “So, every game, there’s always something on the line.”
The Pride, continuing a dream season, entered the match as the first NWSL team to clinch a playoff spot this season.
Pride return to action Friday against Kansas City in Orlando.
