Dr. Jones is a distinguished professional who has made significant contributions to the fields of project management, engineering and information technology. As the chief executive officer of J6 Management Consulting, he has led the company since its inception, specializing in Department of Defense federal contracts in Texas and working extensively with information technology systems for various government projects.

In addition to his role at J6 Management Consulting, Dr. Jones is a part-time assistant professor at Kennesaw State University’s Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology. Since 2017, he has taught students project management processes and design, focusing on ethics, warehouse management logistics and principal team dynamics. His students, primarily engineers, benefit from his expertise in understanding technology, software development and life cycles within corporate America.

Dr. Jones began his career as an international project manager at Lucent Technologies from 1996 to 2000. He then served as an information technology project manager at Nortel Networks from 2000 until 2001 before becoming the vice president of operations at Methodist Home for Children between 2002 and 2004. His subsequent roles included information technology project manager at Siemens Information System from 2005 to 2006 and program director at Family and Children First from 2006 until 2007. In 2007, he joined the Home Depot headquarters as a project manager in information technology.

Between 2007 and 2010, Dr. Jones held the position of senior project program manager in information technology at AT&T through J6 Management Consulting. He continued his tenure at AT&T in various senior roles until 2017, including positions in supply chain and logistics, common cloud platform and solution engineering, business intelligence data warehouse, technology development, and emerging devices and Internet of Things. His extensive experience culminated in his current leadership role at J6 Management Consulting.

Forging the path for Dr. Jones’s professional success was his extensive academic background. He earned a Bachelor of Science in electronics engineering technology from Grambling State University, followed by a Master of Science in international business and trade from the same institution. He subsequently earned a PhD in business administration and organizational leadership from National University in 2016 and a second PhD in computer science from Capitol Technology University.

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Jones holds numerous certifications, including certified information privacy manager, artificial intelligence governance professional, certified ethical hacker, associate certified chief information security officer, agile certified practitioner, security specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS), solutions architect professional from AWS, certified data privacy solution engineer from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and many others. His dedication to education is evident through his involvement with several organizations, including the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Computer Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, ISACA, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., the Project Management Institute and the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Jones has been involved with civic affiliations, contributing his efforts on the scholarship committee and nomination committee for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. since 2019 and mentoring with Junior Achievement USA since 2008. He has also received awards from the Grambling University National Alumni Association and has authored articles for professional journals.

Dr. Jones attributes his success to the drive instilled by his parents and the unwavering support of his wife.
