COPAN, OK, November 15, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Scott Carmichael has been selected for inclusion in Marquis’ 2024 Who’s Who in America. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected based on current reference value, position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field.
Carmichael is a seasoned professional in the banking industry, currently serving as Vice President, Relationship Banker at Armstrong Bank since 2017. With a focus on small business lending and support, he oversees all areas of lending, including commercial, consumer and agriculture. In this role, he assists with deposit growth and works closely with business owners and local municipalities to manage relationships. Additionally, he supports the legal department by representing the bank during small claims court cases for Washington County and manages the day-to-day operations of the bank’s locations.
Prior to his current role, Carmichael was a financial analyst at ConocoPhillips from 2014 to 2017. He also previously served as an Accounting Contractor for Primary Services and an Account Supervisor at C.R. England. His career began as an Operations Associate at Crete Carrier Corporation from 2011 to 2013. Each position contributed to his expertise in relationship building, small business lending, business, and finance.
In addition to his banking career, Carmichael serves as a reserve police officer with the Bartlesville Police Department. He dedicates time each month to assist officers during special events and community activities. This role strengthens his ties within the community and enhances his connections in the banking industry.
Carmichael obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2010 and later received his Master of Business Administration in finance from the same university in 2013. He is accredited by the Oklahoma Bankers Association for consumer lending by the American Bankers Association in commercial lending, and holds certification from the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET). During his CLEET training, he was elected as class president and honored as the class top scholar by CLEET, reflecting his leadership abilities and dedication to law enforcement education.
His civic involvement extends beyond his professional roles. As president of the Washington County Youth and Family Services board, Carmichael actively participates in fundraising efforts to enhance community support and resources. He has also served as a Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce Advocate since 2017, helping to increase member participation, and is part of the set-up crew for the annual Christmas in the Ville event.
Carmichael attributes his success in the community to his college baseball career. From this experience as a catcher, he learned the value of working hard and letting success speak for itself. Transferring this mindset to his professional career, he focuses on understanding the competition and being honest with customers. He is thankful for several key mentors throughout his career and embraces this lesson from Head Coach Kirk Kelley: “The only things one can control in life are attitude and effort. So, choose to have a great attitude and put in great effort, the rest takes care of itself.”
Outside of his professional endeavors, Carmichael is dedicated to his family and cherishes spending time with his wife and children. Looking ahead, he aims to continue being an asset to his community by expanding his positive impact within the area. He is committed to helping individuals achieve their dreams and making the community safer for children and families.
