Since joining the company in 2019, he has been instrumental in enhancing workplace safety by engaging directly with policyholders, evaluating job sites, training policyholders on various safety topics, writing comprehensive reports, and developing blogs and bulletins for policyholders.

In addition to his primary duties, Mr. Blatter is also a member of a small committee that facilitates open discussions with their Risk Management staff and collaborates with management to address field-related challenges. His commitment to preventing accidents and safeguarding lives through compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations stands out as one of his most significant contributions.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Blatter served as a Loss Control Consultant at Harleysville Insurance from 1997 to 2013 and at Nationwide from 2013 to 2019. Before this appointment, he was a corporate Loss Control Specialist at the American Red Cross from 1994 to 1997, where he played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of both employees and volunteers. His career began at Aetna Life & Casualty Co., where he worked as a Consultant from 1989 to 1994.

Mr. Blatter’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from Fairmont State College, earned in 1989. His academic accomplishments are complemented as an authorized OSHA trainer, and his memberships in several industry-related organizations, including the American Society of Safety Professionals, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and Epsilon Pi Tau. He obtained the Associate in Loss Control Management in 1994.

Throughout his career, Mr. Blatter has been influenced by several key individuals who have imparted valuable lessons, including previous bosses and teachers. He owes a great deal of his success to the lessons these individuals taught him, such as striving to learn something new each day and putting more effort into thinking and strategic planning.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Blatter has been involved in the Lions Club, serving as President (King Lion), Treasurer, Director, Lion Tamer (Sgt. At Arms) many times during his membership in the Lake Jackson Mid County Lions Club. Mr. Blatter has been a Melvin Jones Fellow with the Lions Club since 2015. He enjoys hunting, fishing, trail riding, and helping his neighbors in his free time. He remains committed to continuing the vital work he has been doing in the field of construction and general safety in the upcoming years.
