Before gaining his current role, Mr. Lockhart was the FACTS & HVDC technology manager for the EPC division at Great Southwestern Construction Inc. from 2020 to 2023 in Castle Rock, CO. His expertise in managing project execution and strategic planning was instrumental in advancing the company’s capabilities in FACTS and HVDC technologies. Mr. Lockhart was also instrumental as a project manager at Kiewit Power Constructors in Lenexa, Kansas, between 2018 and 2020, where he honed his skills in creative problem-solving and GIS.

From 2008 to 2018, Mr. Lockhart was the EPC project execution manager at Siemens Energy Inc. in Rapid City, South Dakota. During this decade-long tenure, he was pivotal in executing large-scale projects that required meticulous planning and execution strategies. Mr. Lockhart’s career also included a significant period as an EPC project execution manager at ABB in Rapid City between 2002 and 2007 after initially working as a lineman within the local industry, gaining hands-on experience that laid the foundation for his future success.

Mr. Lockhart’s educational background includes coursework in mechanical engineering at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. This academic foundation has been instrumental in his ability to engage with innovative technologies and solutions for clients throughout his career. Mr. Lockhart’s dedication to professional growth is reflected in his membership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, which underscores his commitment to staying at the forefront of industry advancements.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Lockhart has made significant contributions to civic organizations. He is a member of the National Marrow Donor Program, where he has served on several advisory committees where he served as an advisor for two terms for the board of directors. His involvement with NMDP was inspired by personal experiences within his family and has led to several impactful initiatives, such as organizing bone marrow drives and breaking national records.
