Judge Charles David Burnett presently serves as the city attorney for Osceola, Arkansas, a position he was appointed to by the city council in 2021, and the latest in over five decades of public service. In this capacity, he handles all legal matters at the city-level, be it contract review, preparing deeds or overseeing transactions when necessary, as well as attending city council meetings. Hailing from a storied career in legal service, Mr. Burnett initially studied history and political science at the University of Arkansas, from which he received a Bachelor of Science in 1963. Following this accomplishment, he went on to graduate with a Juris Doctor in 1966, and he was subsequently certified and trained at several academic institutions, including the University of Nevada Judicial College, the University of Memphis and the University of Oxford England Durham College.
