Before founding her studio, Ms. Sander was a senior interior designer at Schoos Design from 2014 to 2020. Her tenure there was preceded by her senior architectural and interior designer position at Ralph Gentile Architects between 2010 and 2014. During this period, she developed her skills in creating innovative design solutions for various projects. From 2009 to 2010, Ms. Sander held a similar position at Deutsch Architects and Darrall Design Consultants.
Among her earlier roles, Ms. Sander garnered expertise with Ralph Gentile Architects, Envirotechno Architecture and Creative Resource Associates. Her extensive experience across these roles has contributed to her reputation as an expert in her field.
In preparation for her successful career in this sector, Ms. Sander received a Bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism from Unisinos in 1997 and additional coursework in architecture and interior design at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2001. The support of mentors, particularly a distinguished teacher from UCLA, influenced her ability to master essential technical terminology even though Ms. Sander had to overcome language barriers.
In addition to her educational achievements, Ms. Sander is actively involved with industry-related organizations, such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA). She also served as a home tour guide for AIA Los Angeles from 2000 to 2002. Her contributions to the field also included interviews for magazines like Voyage LA, Shout Out LA and Rebel Canvas, showcasing her insights into design trends and innovations. Civically, Ms. Sander is active with the Malibu and Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce and is dedicated to volunteering for various local causes.
Ms. Sander has been fortunate to be involved in numerous memorable projects. Among them, she recently completed Taco Social, a local eatery in Eagle Rock, California, which offers a unique vibe for patrons to gather. Ms. Sander envisions expanding her business to create more job opportunities. She also aims to mentor others, particularly students, and share her insight and wisdom with them.
