WhatsApp could soon make its own number chat feature available to Windows users as well. The Message Yourself feature, which allows users to send a text message to themselves, was launched for WhatsApp on Android and iOS last month. And now it’s reportedly available in WhatsApp’s latest beta app for Windows. This will help users to conveniently send quick notes or reminders or important information to themselves. Previously, to do this, users had to register a second WhatsApp account with their other phone number.

according to a report WhatsApp Beta Tracker WABetaInfo, Meta’s messaging service, has started rolling out the ability to send yourself messages with the latest update WhatsApp Beta for Windows 2.2248.2.0.

Whatsapp Users must download the latest version of the beta app from the Microsoft Store to access this feature. Once installed, users will see a separate chat with their name followed by “(you)”. You can just open the tab and send quick notes, shopping lists, reminders, bookmarks and others.

As the report suggests, whenever a message is sent to your number, it is sent to all linked devices. Specifically, the chat is end-to-end encrypted so only the user who sent the message can see it on their linked devices.

Meanwhile WhatsApp recently introduced Avatars in the messaging app that allows users to curate their digital presentation. Users are allowed to choose hairstyles, facial features, and outfits from the available combinations to create an avatar of themselves. The instant messaging app has also added 36 custom stickers reflecting different emotions and actions. One can set an avatar as his WhatsApp profile photo or use them as stickers.

Instagramwhich is also owned by Meta, previously added support for avatars, just like Facebook and Facebook delivery boy.
