In this role, Ms. Caglia is responsible for making budgetary decisions for all city parks, attending bi-monthly meetings and overseeing grant processes. Before pivoting into her most recent role, Ms. Caglia enjoyed a fulfilling teaching career from 2000 to 2022. Her education journey began after dedicating 30 years as an administrator at Warners Theater, a historic venue in Fresno initially established as a Pantages theater before being acquired by Warner Brothers and later owned by her father. Her transition into teaching was driven by a need for music instructors, where she taught history before moving to the music department to teach strings, band and choir.
Ms. Caglia holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Fresno Pacific College and a master’s degree in social science with an emphasis on public policy from Regent University. Her academic achievements have provided a strong foundation for her education and public service positions.
In addition to her professional accomplishments Ms. Caglia was actively involved in various industry related organizations, such as Fresno Teacher’s Association, the California Teachers Association and the National Education Association. Ms. Caglia’s civic contributions extend beyond these affiliations, such as the San Joaquin River Parkway and Mu Phi Epsolon and by supporting organizations like Hinds Hospice, the Marjorie Mason Center andCatholic Charities. Ms. Caglia also supports outreach initiations through organizations like Samaritans Purse and the Christian Broadcasting Network.
Honoring her work in the classroom, Ms. Caglia was recognized as Teacher of the Year, a testament to her expertise in teaching music and fine arts. She also received a commendation from the city of Fresno for her community contributions.
Ms. Caglia attributes much of her success to the lessons imparted by her parents, particularly her father, who taught her valuable skills in interpersonal relations, customer service, marketing and sales.
