Leveraging his expertise, Mr. Lesak’s career began as an associate attorney at Pappas, Metcalf, Jenks and Miller, PA, from 2003 to 2004, laying the foundation for his future work. He then joined Volpe, Bajalia, Wickes, Rogerson and Wachs, PA, as an associate attorney in commercial litigation, handling complex litigation matters between 2004 and 2009.
Over the next decade, Mr. Lesak gained several progressive legal roles. In 2009, he joined Regency Centers as a litigation manager, responsible for litigation management and dispute resolution until 2016. His exemplary performance led to his promotion to legal counsel for contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolution, and technology implementation from 2016 to 2021. Following his tenure at Regency Centers, Mr. Lesak became a special counsel at Jimerson Birr between 2021 and 2023. He concurrently held the position as an of counsel at Gartner, Brock and Simon from 2022 to 2023.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Lesak received a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from Florida State University in 2000 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence, with high honors, in 2003. He has been admitted to practice by the Florida Bar Association and the U.S. Federal Court for the Northern, Southern, and Middle Districts of Florida. Mr. Lesak’s academic prowess is further evidenced by his designation as a board certification real estate attorney through the Florida Bar and his licensure as a title agent.
Mr. Lesak is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, which underscores his commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and contributing to real estate law. In addition to his professional endeavors, he has been involved with various civic initiatives.
