Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.Mr. Tokeshi is a distinguished specialist solutions architect with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Phoenix, where he has been serving the U.S. public sector and nonprofit organizations since 2022. His end-user computing expertise has earned him recognition as an authority in the field. Before his current role, Mr. Tokeshi was a specialist solutions architect for Canada at AWS from 2021 to 2022 and a solutions architect between 2020 and 2021.
Previously, Mr. Tokeshi’s tenure at Citrix in Phoenix and Seattle spanned over 15 years. During that time, he held several key positions, including principal sales engineer for XenDesktop from 2012 to 2014, principal architect between 2014 and 2016, and principal sales engineer from 2016 to 2020. Earlier roles at Citrix included lead sales engineer, senior sales engineer, and senior sales engineer for XenServer, dating back to 2008.
Before being recruited by Citrix, Mr. Tokeshi managed systems engineering at GeekTroopers between 2000 and 2004 and was a research and development manager at Futurelink in Irvine, California, from 1999 to 2000. He also contributed his skills as a content developer for Beachfront Quizzer between 1998 and 2001 and worked as a senior application support engineer at Qwest Communications from 1998 to 1999. Mr. Tokeshi’s early career included a role as lead application support engineer at Alternative Resources Corporation in Dublin, Ohio, between 1997 and 1999.
Passionate about his field, Mr. Tokeshi enjoys educating people on new cloud technologies and how they can enhance their productivity, security, and convenience. His most notable accomplishment was writing the foundation of Windows Logo certification for remote desktop applications. Mr. Tokeshi’s forward-thinking approach also continues to influence public sector organizations and nonprofit entities through his work with AWS.
Apart from his work-related endeavors, Mr. Tokeshi has been active civically as the director of Arizona Chess Central since 2013 and the Arizona Chess Federation since 2014. He is also committed to giving back to the technical community by mentoring others and fostering career development among industry professionals. Recently, Mr. Tokeshi led the Arizona Global Azure Bootcamp/Global Azure and was an organizer for GDG Cloud Phoenix.
Building upon his professional achievements, Mr. Tokeshi’s academic background includes coursework at Virginia Tech, which laid the groundwork for his successful career trajectory. He also garnered credentials as an associate cloud engineer through Google Cloud and an AWS-certified solutions architect, cloud practitioner, and SysOps administrator.
Remaining at the forefront of his profession, Mr. Tokeshi is a prominent member of the American Society of Engineers. In recognition of his contributions to the field of technology, NVIDIA Corporation honored him as a Virtual GPU Community Advisor in 2019 and 2020.
