PALMETTO, FL, January 24, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — James Haynes Jr. has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

James Haynes, Jr. was born October 18th, 1954, to the parents of James Haynes, Sr. and Rebecca Haynes Scott. James’s mother Rebecca Haynes Scott brought him up in the church and always talked to him and taught him how important it was to know your roots. She told him that he should learn those who preceded us and made all the sacrifices so that we could live better lives. James’s mother Rebecca Haynes Scott was his biggest inspiration in his life when he was growing up. James gives all the credit to his Lord and Savior Christ and his mother Rebecca Haynes Scott for a successful life that he is living today. This is why James preaches education first, then the game of any sports.

James graduated from Sarasota High School in 1972. He received a football scholarship to Florida A & M University. James received his B.S. degree in 1976 from Florida A & M University.

My philosophy is my teaching and coaching, which was rooted in me at a young age. I had a passion for empowering students and athletes to reach their full potential.

As an educator, I believe that teaching is not merely about imparting knowledge, but about fostering a love of learning, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity. My teaching philosophy is centered on creating an inclusive, supportive, and challenging environment that encourages students to explore, question, and discover.

As a coach, I emphasize the development of the whole person, not just the athlete. My coaching philosophy focuses on building strong relationships, promoting teamwork, and instilling a growth mindset. I believe that all sports can be a powerful vehicle for teaching life skills, such as discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship.

My ultimate goal as a teacher and coach was to inspire and empower all students and athletes to become confident, compassionate, and engaged members of their communities.

My ardent passion for teaching, all sports, and mentoring student-athletes. As an educator and coach, I have always been driven by a desire to inspire and empower young minds. Mentoring student athletes is particularly rewarding, as it allows me to combine my passions for teaching and coaching all sports. I take great pride in helping students navigate the challenges of academics and athletics.

After 42 years of teaching and coaching with more victories than losses and countless drills of all sorts. James was great at many things when it came to teaching and coaching. James has been a successful two-time winning Head Football Coach and a successful four-time winning Basketball Coach along with Track and Baseball Coach.

In James’ teaching and coaching career, we have moved 10 times in his teaching and coaching career. My wife Carolyn Haynes, who is the love of my life, has packed and moved us 10 times of my teaching and coaching career. All at the same time she was left raising our four kids: James Haynes, III, Michael Haynes, Sr., Shedrick Haynes, and Jayme Haynes. James has taught school and coached all sports for 42 years. James has spent his whole life imparting the right skills and knowledge into students and student athletes.

There is no doubt in James’ mind that he has been an achiever, open-minded, generous, knowledgeable, modest, courageous, responsible, and a highly respected teacher and coach for all students.

James always went the extra mile to make sure that every student was prepared for all assignments whether it was inside the classroom or on the field or off the field. James Haynes, Jr., was a great leader in all sports. And a Teacher that preached education to all students.

James is like an art piece that you would hang anywhere forever. Forget about spitting, yelling, and stomping. NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER.

I like to thank all the COACHES who have help me Coach all the young men and women to be good student athletes. Thank you for your love, determination, and sportsmanship. I am and was proud to call you, my COACHES.

I have accomplished all of my goals by helping students move to the next level of their education and career. I have accomplished all of my goals with my career in teaching and coaching; and all of my kids have a High School diploma and a College degree.
