Mr. Sandhu is a distinguished leader in interfaith harmony and peace initiatives, with a career spanning over two decades. As President of Interfaith League Against Poverty (I-LAP-US)—a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization—he provides strategic leadership, focusing on promoting peace, understanding, and cooperation among diverse communities. His expertise in interfaith dialogue has earned him recognition from the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Pakistan, for his unwavering commitment to fostering peace and social cohesion.

Since 2018, Mr. Sandhu has served as the Chairman of HumSub.TV, a rights-based web channel he founded to amplify the voices of marginalized communities. In this role, he actively influences public discourse and advocates for minority rights through media. Concurrently, since 2011, he has also been the Chairman and President of the Pakistan Interfaith League (PIL), a socio-political movement dedicated to advocacy, lobbying, and policy development to protect and support the rights of religious minorities. Additionally, since 2004, he has chaired the Interfaith League Against Poverty (I-LAP), Pakistan, a nonprofit organization where he continues to champion initiatives that address interfaith dialogues for a peaceful co-existence, disaster response, reconstruction of disaster-affected areas, while also promoting social justice for religious minorities.

Mr. Sandhu’s commitment to human rights is reflected in his numerous achievements. From 2013 to 2018, he served as an advisor to the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan—who later became Prime Minister (2018-2022)—where he actively highlighted the challenges faced by Christians and other religious minorities. In 2013 general elections, Mr. Sandhu, was nominated for the Member of the National Assembly Pakistan, on the reserved seat for minorities. His efforts have earned him several honors, including the “Untiring Peace Efforts Award” from the National Network of Interfaith and Peace Pakistan and recognition for his contributions to human rights by the Governor of Punjab, Pakistan as well as being nominated for the Central Executive Committee of PTI. Additionally, He was invited by the U.S. State Department to attend the first International Religious Freedom Ministerial in 2019.

Academically, Mr. Sandhu holds a Master of Arts in Apologetics from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, USA, completed in 2024. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of the East, Philippines, in 1995 and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Punjab University, Pakistan, in 1991. These academic achievements have provided him with a strong foundation in both theological discourse and business management, equipping him to effectively lead organizations committed to social justice, interfaith dialogue, and religious freedom.

Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Sandhu has been deeply engaged in civic and faith-based associations. From 1995 to 2005, he served as Director of Islamabad Rozgar Markaz, promoting employment opportunities. In 2006, he pioneered the establishment of Pakistan’s first Peace Museum and later served as Advisory Chair for the International Network of Museums for Peace. His work in interfaith and peacebuilding has taken him to international conferences in Japan and the Netherlands, where he has facilitated global dialogue on these critical issues.

His leadership extends to various roles, including President of Gideons International in Pakistan, Council Member and Treasurer at Protestant International Church, Pakistan, Board Member at Teen Challenge, and Chairman of the National Baptist Church of Pakistan.

Outside of his career, Mr. Sandhu enjoys playing cricket and helping build community-based churches in Pakistan. He is committed to enhancing international religious freedom by advocating for equal rights for small religious minorities worldwide. His mission is to influence decision-makers at Capitol Hill to amend discriminatory laws and ensure justice for all citizens, including those in Pakistan. Through his advocacy work, Mr. Sandhu aims to create a lasting legacy that promotes equality based on citizenship and humanity.
