The Routemaster Association Appoints A New Chairman
The Routemaster Association’s 2025 AGM was held for the first time at The Oxford Bus Museum, in Long Hanborough on Saturday 1st March. At the AGM John Ward stood down as Chairman, a position he held since 2022 and was replaced by long-standing committee member David Lee.
John Ward said “When I was elected in 2022, I realised it would be difficult to replace Andrew Morgan but RM70 was imminent and it had to be delivered. I am grateful for the support from the Committee and vehicle owners during my time as chairman.”
After the meeting David Lee said, “It is an honour and a privilege to be elected Chairman of the Routemaster Association. Having served on the committee since 2013, I am eager to take on the challenges ahead. For the first time in several years, we have a full committee of dedicated and talented volunteers, and I am confident that this team will drive the Association forward. These are challenging times for vintage vehicle clubs, but the Routemaster Association is well-positioned to adapt and thrive. Our key priority is to support our members by facilitating the re-manufacture of essential mechanical and bodywork components. We are fully committed to strengthening the Association, increasing engagement, and ensuring its future for years to come.”
