In 2021, he graduated magna cum laude from Salus University with a Doctor of Audiology. In addition, he holds several certifications, including required professional experience from the State of California and hearing aid specialist credentials from both The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and the State of California.

In recognition of his contributions to the field, Dr. Johnson was awarded Best Audiologist in Walnut Creek in 2024.
