Netflix announces release date for Mission Majnu by Sidharth Malhotra

Mission Majnu, the upcoming spy thriller directed by Sidharth Malhotra, just got a release date. Netflix is ​​ready to ring in the new year with its first Indian original on January 20, taking you back in time to uncover an “exciting undercover mission”. Rashmika Mandanna (Sita Ramam) stars in a film that explores the events that “changed the politics between India and its neighboring country in the 1970s”. Marking his directorial debut, Shantanu Bagchi envisions Mission Majnu from a script penned by a team of three – Parveez Shaikh (freddy), Sumit Batheja (Bhoot Police) and Aseem Arrora (Malang).

The studio also released a poster for Mission Majnuwho sees Malhotra in the role of a RAW agent, making his streaming debut Netflix. Another Indian Netflix film that recently received a release date is the one directed by Kunchacko Boban Ariyippufall December 16th, on the platform. The drama made the rounds at international film festivals in August and later became acquired from Netflix, making it a streaming exclusive. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan and starring Divya Prabha, the film follows a struggling couple whose dreams of leaving the country for a better life are stymied when an old, ominous video surfaced.

Mission Majnu will be released on Netflix on January 20, 2023.
