Apple is rumored to be working on an “Ultra” model that could potentially replace the top-of-the-line Pro Max. This change could be reflected in the iPhone 15 series, which may launch in 2024. According to recent reports, the iPhone 15 Ultra would not only have more features but also be priced higher than the “Pro” models. A reliable tipster has now suggested that the iPhone 15 Ultra could offer a significant improvement in display brightness compared to the current top-of-the-line iPhone – the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
according to a tweet by tipster ShrimpApplePro (Twitter: @VNchocoTaco), Apple could possibly be used Samsung’s Next-gen display with up to 2500 brightness in iPhone 15 Ultra. This change would be a significant improvement over the 2,000 nits of peak brightness offered in the iPhone 14 Pro And iPhone 14 Pro Max.
It is believed that the Cupertino-based company is exploring other ways to differentiate the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone models. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman hints that Apple is in internal discussions about releasing a new iPhone model in 2024.
This rumored model could be a higher end device than the currently available “Pro” models. What’s more, it could even cost more than the current iPhone 14 Pro Max. Gurman thinks the iPhone 15 Ultra could potentially offer even better camera improvements than those already planned for the iPhone 15 lineup.
Other standout features could include an even larger display than the 6.7-inch iPhone Pro models. The iPhone 15 Ultra could even come with a faster processor. Apple may also ditch the Lightning or USB Type-C connector and only offer wireless charging support. At the moment, however, it is all just speculation that should be treated with caution.
