Outer Wilds, the acclaimed time warp adventure from Mobius Digital, is one of nine titles leaving Xbox Game Pass at the turn of the year. Microsoft’s subscription service, known for shuffling its game library every month, didn’t mention the removal of those titles in its latest Xbox blog. However, if you scroll down to the “Leaving Soon” section of the Xbox app, you’ll see that nine games are on course to leave the service on January 1, 2023. Since it’s included in the Xbox app, this is basically official.
Considered one of the best titles to leave game pass, Outer Wilds features a bizarre premise in which you play an unnamed space explorer stuck in a time warp. Every 22 minutes, the star of the solar system goes into a supernova, restoring the planets and particles to their original state. Not to be confused with Space RPG The Outer Worlds – also available on Game Pass – here you are tasked with exploring the mysteries of an extinct race and solving the overarching mystery.
Outer Wilds was given a Xbox Series S/X enter July via Game Pass – allows 60 fps – and will soon leave the platform.
Other big titles leaving the service include Square Enix Scarlet Nexuswhere you master psychokinetic powers to battle in expert hack and slack segments to unlock the mysteries of a brain punk future. The pedestrianwhich fallen recently on PlayStationAs part of the PSPlus Extra and deluxe catalogues, will also depart on January 1st.
earlier this month, Xbox brought hello neighbor 2 on its subscription service – a day one launch – that takes you back to Raven Brooks as an investigative journalist to spy on your creepy neighbor. And while this is limited to a single-player experience, the multiplayer spin-off title Secret Neighbor will disappear from Game Pass on New Year’s Day.
Xbox Game Pass will say goodbye to the following nine games starting January 1, 2023.
You can purchase all of these games at a 20 percent discount before they leave Game Pass for good. Microsoft also has its annual Xbox countdown offer runs through January 2, 2023 and offers deep discounts on multiple titles. games like Elden ring, Gotham Knights: Deluxe Editionand Need for Speed Unbound saw their first discounts since launch.
Xbox Game Pass launched in early December 11 exciting additions on Game Pass, which included three launches on day one: Hello Neighbor 2, Justin Roiland’s high in life, and a retro-style RPG Chained Echoes. The catalog also included the much-respected Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagawhere you’ll relive comedic interpretations of all nine episodes of the epic title film series. Metal: Helsingera rhythm-based, demon-slaying experience eventually made it too Xbox One.
