Prior to her current role, Ms. Flores served as a community health worker at Pacific Medical Center for 10 years. Following that time, she was a bilingual food stamp and eligibility clerk for the Human Services Agency in San Francisco, California. Before starting her professional career, Ms. Flores completed vocational training at her local Computer Training Center. She also earned a certification as a Community Health Worker from City College of San Francisco.
Looking ahead, Ms. Flores intends to retire in the next few years and potentially shift her career into real estate where she can continue to work with people. She was originally inspired to join her profession by her parents who immigrated to the United States without being fluent in English, which presented her with great challenges to stabilize her family. Having achieved success with their support, her philosophy now is to believe fully in her goals and her ability to achieve them, and strive to achieve everything.
