With more than four decades of excellent education, Mr. White has made a name for himself as the leader of his own company. In that capacity, he is the owner of Alvin’s Fitness and Wellness and focuses his efforts on providing personal fitness training to a variety of clients in the Staunton, Virginia area. He conducts in-home training classes, gives functional movement screenings, and conducts wellness consultations.
Outside of his primary professional endeavors with his company, Mr. White is a sportswriter for a newspaper and a dedicated volunteer for his local wildlife center. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is proud to have received multiple awards for coaching youth sports in his community.
Prior to his current role, Mr. White was a teacher from 1981 until his retirement in 2011. Before beginning his professional career, he earned a Bachelor of Education from Bridgewater College in 1989 and a Master of Education from the University of Virginia. Well qualified in his field, he is also a certified professional trainer.
Looking ahead, Mr. White intends to continue training employees while exploring more travel opportunities. Inspired by a number of mentors throughout his journey, he was particularly guided by Tony Demacio, a military veteran and his soccer coach. Having grown into a competitive and motivated individual, he now helps drive and motivate others. He is also writing a book about his life and experiences to share his ideas with a wider audience.
