Theater Charity Launches Online Money Workshops to Supporting young people with disabilities during the cost of living crisis.

Surrey-based non-profit theater organization Head2Head Sensory Theater has launched new online money management workshops to support young people with disabilities during the cost of living crisis.

Beginning January 3, 2023, the interactive online money management workshops use drama, games, role-play and improvisation to explore real-world money experiences such as: B. preparing to visit stores, budgeting things and saving for the future.

Kate Harriss, Head2Head Sensory Theater drama and workshop host, said: “Understanding how money works is a very important life skill that everyone should have access to. Young people with learning disabilities want to lead independent lives and that means having confidence in their relationship with money.

“Head2Head Sensory Theatre’s ‘My Money Mastered’ workshops will prepare and support young people for the cost-of-living crisis, using dramatic scenarios to equip them with the tools to be more financially independent.”

Running for 6 or 12 weeks, My Money Mastered workshops empower young people to take control of their well-being by giving them the tools to be more financially independent.

The workshops are hosted online and include games and activities as well as dramatic scenarios and improvisation. The series provides guidance on budgeting for known expenses and preparing for unexpected expenses.

Young people will also have a space where they can feel comfortable and share ideas and information and their experiences of finance and spending in an informal setting.

Kate continues: “The goal is that by the end of the series every young person will feel more confident about living independently and saving for the future, it’s going to be a fantastic programme!”

Candidates can choose from one of two courses to build the confidence they need to become more financially independent. A 6 week course costs £18 per person and a 12 week course £36 per person.

Courses start on January 3, 2023 and last until May 2023. To book a course go to:
