Google Pixel 8 series display specs leaked online. The company is expected to launch two premium Pixel smartphones later this year, namely the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro. As every year, details about the upcoming Pixel smartphones have been leaked months before the market launch. The latest report suggests that Google will launch the Pixel 8 Pro with a flat screen. The Pixel 8, on the other hand, is said to have a slightly smaller display compared to the Pixel 8 pixels 7 (review).
according to a report From Android Authority, Google will launch the Pixel 8 Pro with a 6.7-inch OLED display. In contrast to the Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel 8 Pro is to be launched with a flat display. The display should be less square than before and slightly more rounded in the corners. The Pixel 8 is reported to have a slightly smaller 6.17-inch OLED display compared to the Pixel 7’s 6.3-inch screen.
While the Pixel 8 will have the same resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, it will offer more pixels per inch (427 PPI) due to the smaller display, according to the report. The Pixel 8 Pro will reportedly ship with a slightly smaller resolution of 2,992 x 1,344 pixels instead of the 3,120 x 1,440 pixel resolution of the Pixel 7 Pro.
According to the report, Google will also improve the brightness of both handsets and it is now at 1600 nits. In comparison, the Pixel 7 series offers a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits.
In addition, there will also be refresh rate improvements, the report says. The Pixel 8 is said to offer a refresh rate between 10Hz and 120Hz, while the Pixel 8 Pro will toggle its refresh rate between 5Hz and 120Hz.
