Twitter Blue for Business has been announced and is now rolling out to select businesses. The feature allows users and businesses to differentiate themselves. It allows businesses to link their affiliated people, businesses, and brands to their accounts. Once linked, the connected accounts will receive a small badge with their parent company’s profile picture next to their blue or gold confirmation badge. The brands have the company name in a square badge next to the gold tick, while people associated with the brand have a square company badge next to a blue tick.
Tweet in one blog entry announced they are launching Twitter Blue for Business to enable businesses to highlight their brands and key employees Twitter. Those accounts will feature a square company badge next to their display names, it said. However, it is currently only rolling out to a limited number of companies. However, it will be released to more companies next year.
As shared by the microblogging platform, there is no limit to the number of individuals or brands that can be connected to an account by a business subscribed to Twitter Blue for Business. Once the people or brands are linked to their parent companies, a blue tick and small company badge will appear on the profiles of all linked accounts.
Twitter said the new feature will allow businesses to create networks within their own organizations on Twitter. Journalists, sports team players or movie characters can all be connected, Twitter added. However, each affiliate is verified against the list provided by the parent company and officially linked to its parent handle.
So far, Twitter has not given any pricing information for the new feature. Any updates on prices, criteria or processes will be published shortly, says Twitter. “In the future, we plan to add even more value to the offering to help businesses and their partners get the most out of Twitter,” the official post reads.
