The French smartphone manufacturer Wiko presented the Wiko 5G in China on Tuesday. The Wiko 5G is a rebranded version of the Huawei Nova 9 SE. The Huawei phone was launched earlier this year in March. The Wiko 5G shares many of the same specs as the Nova 9 SE, but there are a few design changes. The Wiko 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC and runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS. The handset sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels.

Wiko 5G price, availability

The Wiko 5G is available in two different configurations. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 23,700), while the 8GB RM + 256GB storage option costs CNY 2,199 (approx. Rs. 26,000). The handset was available in the Chinese market from December 27, but there is no official word from it wiki about availability in other regions.

The Wiko 5G is available in two different color variants – Mithril and Obsidian.

Wiko 5G specifications

The Wiko 5G runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS and supports dual Nano SIM cards, both capable of connecting to 5G networks. The phone sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1080×2388 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a pixel density of 387 PPI. The handset is powered by an eight-core Snapdragon 695 SoC, which is accompanied by an Adreno 619 GPU and 8GB of RAM.

In the camera department, the Wiko 5G has a quad rear camera setup, led by a 108-megapixel f/1.9 primary lens. The camera module also includes an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth-of-field camera and an LED flash. The front camera is a 16-megapixel f/2.2 shooter housed in a punch-hole cutout at the top center of the screen.

The handset is available in 128GB and 256GB storage options. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, OTG, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1 and a USB Type-C port. The phone also packs a gravity sensor, fingerprint sensor, compass, and ambient light sensor.

The Wiko 5G measures 164.64mm x 75.55mm x 7.94mm in size and weighs approximately 191 grams.
