PlayStation Plus monthly free games for January 2023 – the new year – have been announced. The three titles will be available to members of the PS Plus Essential, Extra and Deluxe/Premium plans starting next week. Beginning January 3rd, PS Plus subscribers will have access to the galaxy-spanning adventure Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 76 and the pixelated indie title Axiom Verge 2 set in space. These titles can be added to your PS4 and PS5 game library until February 6th, 2023, after which you will need to keep your subscriptions to continue playing.
Sony confirms the additions on the PlayStation Blog late Wednesday, claims that the higher tier PSPlus Extra and Premium/Deluxe plans have other new titles coming later in January. This, of course, includes a PS Plus Classics catalog that brings back some timeless games to the platform.
PS Plus January 2023: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Five years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III, Cal Kestis (Cameron Monaghan), the last remaining padawan, must gather the pieces of his shattered past and undergo rigorous Jedi training to develop Force abilities and master his lightsaber abilities. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is structured like a Souls-like, with a steep level system, lots of puzzles and punishing bosses that need to be approached strategically. Visit distant corners of the war of stars galaxy and interact with new characters, creatures and a cute flying droid named BD-1.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be available to play PS4 and PS5. With a sequel Star Wars Jedi: Survivorcoming out in March 2023, this would be the right time to get acquainted with the fighting style.
PS Plus January 2023: Fallout 76
Fallout 76 marked Bethesdas The first multiplayer game that throws you and other Vault Dwellers into a post-apocalyptic wasteland to explore the open world, build structures, scavenge for resources and overcome your greatest threats – including radiation. Uncover the mysteries of West Virginia in the main quest by betraying or forging new relationships to carve your own path, and take part in limited-time challenges to earn rewards like consumables, CAMP items, and more.
Fallout 76 will be playable on PS4 – it’s backwards compatible on PS5 – and getting into online co-op shouldn’t be a problem if you already have a PS Plus subscription.
PS Plus January 2023: Axiom Verge 2
Explore a sprawling alien world filled with the ruins of an ancient, high-tech civilization axiom edge 2. You play as Indra, the billionaire behind the global corporation Globe 3, who travels to Antarctica in search of her missing daughter. Inexplicable circumstances plunge them into a world infected by parasitic machines that can be hacked with your trusty guide. Or whip out your remote-controlled drone to enter The Breach, a parallel reality that harbors its own set of dangers, and scour every inch to uncover answers to the anomaly.
Axiom Verge 2 will be available on PS4 and PS5.
The company also reminded all PlayStation Plus subscribers that they have until January 2, 2023 to add the space RPG Mass Effect Legendary Editionthe post-apocalyptic shooter biomutant, and the new fighting game Divine Knockout to your library. Those were the three free games Sony announced December.
PlayStation Plus subscription in India begins at Rs. 499 per month for Essential, Rs. 749 per month for the Extra plan and Rs. 849 per month for the top tier Deluxe. The monthly free games are included in all three tiers.
