HOPKINTON, MA, December 29, 2022 /24-7press release/ — The story of “Suitcase” revolves around the struggles and hardships of an ordinary man who landed in the United States of America with only a suitcase and some extraordinary dreams.

Suitcase is a memoir in which Chadda tells an incredible, brave story about his grandmother, who hired the military to rescue him and his family from the village of Shinewala in western Pakistan during partition in 1947. Her biggest challenge was leaving her home without any possessions and some money and gold.

The tale is based on a true story with much at stake as their only way out was a risky and bloody train to Amritsar. To make matters worse, there have been ongoing killings, rapes, looting and house burnings in Pakistan and India. This book is also the author’s tribute to his grandmother who raised him and who sacrificed and dedicated her life so that the grandchildren could have a proper education and succeed in life.

Dwarka (DN) Chadha completed his Master of Arts in English Literature in 1963 at the University of Delhi, India. He also had an award-winning career as a pharmaceutical sales executive and sales specialist leading sales teams to generate revenue in excess of $100 million. He was also President of the India Association of Greater Boston from 1984 to 1985. He was then appointed to the Massachusetts Minority Business Oversight Committee in 1985 by Governor Mike Dukakis.

One of his career highlights was the recognition/documentation of President Obama, Gov. Deval Patrick, Gov. Mike Dukakis and Congressman Barney Frank. Served organizing support meetings for health care reform 2008-2009 and received recognition from President Obama for the Affordable Care Act of 2010. Chadha also served as the first vice president of the Hopkinton Lions Club 2019-2022.

It took him 12 years of literary work to complete this book to ensure factual authenticity and make it a book worth reading. Suitcase also has a special surprise for the reader, a photo gallery at the end of the book.

Suitcase will be available this December on all leading book publishing platforms including Amazon, Kindle and Barnes & Noble Press.
