Ons Jabeur plays Marketa Vondrousova in the women’s Wimbledon final

WIMBLEDONOns Jabeur or Marketa Vondrousova become Grand Slam champions for the first time when they compete Women’s Wimbledon Final.

They go into Saturday’s title fight with a combined record of 3-0 in major finals.

The Jabeur seeded at number 6, a 28-year-old from Tunisiawas runner-up at the All England Club and US Open last season.

She is the only Arab or North African woman to compete in a Grand Slam singles final.

Unseeded Vondrousova, a 24-year-old Czech, lost in the 2019 French Open final as a teenager.

She is the first unseeded finalist at Wimbledon since Billie Jean King made it that far in 1963.
