Credit Suisse (CSGN.S) announced on Tuesday that its asset management arm has submitted 18 insurance claims in relation to the frozen supply chain finance funds (SCFF) associated with Greensill.
The bank stated on its website that it has submitted 18 insurance claims for the Credit Suisse (Lux) Supply Chain Finance Fund and the Credit Suisse Nova (Lux) Supply Chain Finance High Income Fund, totaling around $2.2 billion in an exposure.
It stated that its asset management arm had now filed insurance claims for all SCFF programs with insurable losses. Responding to insurers’ demands for details on the claims will take “several months,” according to the bank.
The cash position as of July 29 was comparable to approximately $7.3 billion, or 73% of the fund’s assets under management at the time of their suspension, Credit Suisse said, the same level as in February.
