Poco X5 Pro could launch in India soon. Although a date has yet to be officially confirmed by the Xiaomi sub-brand, a new leak suggests that the latest Poco X-series smartphone will officially arrive in the country in the last week of this month. The Poco X5 Pro is set to debut as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition. They have identical specs when the Poco X5 Pro is actually a rebranded device. It is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 778G SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. The Poco X5 Pro is said to have a triple rear camera and a 5,000 mAh battery.
According to a report by 91Mobiles citing tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) who Poco X5 Pro will be launched in India around the last week of this month. The report claims that the forthcoming poko Handset will arrive as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition.
If this rumor carries any weight, then the specifications of the Poco X5 Pro could be the same as the Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition. The Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition was recently revealed in the Chinese market with a starting price of 1,699 CNY (about Rs. 20,200) for the base model with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition runs on Android 12 base MIUI14 and features a flexible 6.67-inch OLED display with Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It is powered by a 6 nm Snapdragon 778G octa-core SoC powered, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM.
For optics, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition has a triple rear camera unit that includes a 100-megapixel Samsung HM2 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has a 16-megapixel selfie sensor. The smartphone also offers up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It’s backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
