The official trailer for Mission Majnu was unveiled by the film’s creators on Monday. The spy thriller stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandana. Set in the 1970s, the film features Sidharth’s character as India’s only hope of gathering intelligence from Pakistan and failing in her mission. The film begins with Parmeet Sethi’s character informing then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of Pakistan’s attempt to create nuclear weapons and suggesting they enlist the help of a RAW agent. Netflix India released the official trailer on YouTube as well as social media sites.
In the trailer, Sidharth plays a RAW agent who travels to Pakistan to learn more about that nation’s nuclear capabilities and if they are planning a bomb targeting India. on his mission Sidharth marries a blind Pakistani played by Rashmikaafter falling in love with her to establish his identity in the nation and his cover.
During his mission in Pakistan, Sidharth works as a tailor, plumber, servant, among other things, to ensure that his country has access to all information.
Set in the 1970’s, Mission Majnu is a patriotic thriller with a love story at its core, which follows one of India’s most secretive operations that derailed Pakistan’s efforts to launch a nuclear attack.
Directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by RSVP and GBA, Mission Majnu will premiere exclusively on the OTT platform Netflix from January 20, 2023.
Apart from that, Sidharth is also set to star in the upcoming action thriller Yodha opposite Disha Pataniwhich is scheduled to hit theaters on July 7, 2023.
He also has an upcoming web series Indian policestreamed on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
