The January additions to Xbox Game Pass have been announced, and the list is looking pretty odd. Microsoft has confirmed just three new titles to be added to its gaming subscription service this month, while six existing entries will be dropped from its catalogue. Starting January 19th, the critically acclaimed Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will finally be available on Xbox consoles. Both are sort of ports, coming from Sony’s PlayStation handhelds – PSP and PS Vita – and set to release on the same day on modern platforms like PC, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Of course, PC Game Pass members can access it at no additional cost. Also, January 20th brings Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom’s latest addition to its fantasy RPG franchise, where you hunt creatures drawn from Japanese folklore.
Developer Atlus confirmed the arrival of Persona games on modern platforms back in October. with Persona 4 Gold (P4G) available on the steam Marketplace since 2020 and Persona 5 Royal drive in October last yearit only made sense to the publisher SEGA to complete the set Persona 3 wearable. Despite the #3, the newer P4G is the more accessible gateway to the JRPG (Japanese Role-Playing Game) franchise, which introduces quests and plot elements that work freely – the main character can plan their days on a weather calendar and explore life as they choose do see fit. When not battling procedurally generated shadows in the bizarre TV world/dungeon, players can join school clubs, attend classes, strengthen bonds with other characters, and take part-time jobs to earn money to farm resources like medkits and revival beads.
Persona 3 Portable’s premise is a bit similar Persona 4 Gold, in the sense that you carry the life of a transfer student through school, all the while working as a part-time hero to uncover the tragic truth of the Dark Hour. Dialogue is presented in a visual novel format while combat retains turn-based DNA. Persona 3 Portable was also the first and only time you could play as a female protagonist. This will be available alongside P4G from day one game pass – same as Persona 5 Royal. You can also pre-install them and be ready to play on release day.
Monster Hunter Ascension has suffered a limited release and first launched on the Switch 2021, then further Windows PC, the following year. January would be the first time it’s ported to more powerful consoles like that PS4, PS5, Xbox Oneand Xbox Series S/X. The game will be available for free on the last two systems provided you have a Game Pass subscription.
As with previous ones monster hunter Titled, Rise challenges you to slay or capture fearsome creatures using a selection of weapons and tools – which, upon completion, grant resources that can be crafted into special armor sets and weapons. This forms the franchise’s signature looping gameplay, adding maps that focus on vertical movement. There’s also a multiplayer feature, which shouldn’t be a problem for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers since it’s included Xbox Live Gold. It is available at Rs. 50 initially, after that it costs Rs. 499 per month.
Additionally, Microsoft has confirmed six titles will be leaving the service soon. On January 16th you can say goodbye We Happy Fewthe anacrusis, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Nobody saves the world, [Pupperazzi(https://www.gadgets360.com/games/pupperazzi-111488), and Windjammers 2.
And as usual, before they disappear from the service, you can choose to purchase them at a 20 percent discount.
