Twitter’s support account is yet to provide information on downtime for third-party apps or whether the company has ended support for those apps.
Third-party apps of the service don’t display Twitter’s sponsored posts (or ads) like the official apps, which means the company doesn’t make any money from these users. Twitter’s new CEO, Elon Musk, has been working to grow the company’s revenue since taking office last year.
