Intel on Thursday unveiled the 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900KS desktop processor. It is said to be the first desktop CPU to reach a speed of 6 GHz without overclocking. The chip is based on the flagship Core i9-13900K chip, which reached a clock speed of 5.8 GHz. The Intel Core i9-13900KS is aimed at gamers and technology enthusiasts and offers 24 cores and 36 MB Intel Smart Cache. It is also equipped with Intel Thermal Velocity Boost technology, which allows the processor to achieve higher maximum turbo frequencies than before.
The latest flagship desktop processor from intel delivers a maximum turbo frequency of up to 6 GHz. There’s also 36MB of Intel Smart Cache for smooth handling of gaming and content creation workloads. According to chip manufacturerthe Intel Core i9-13900KS packs 24 cores, including eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores.
This CPU has 20 PCIe lanes – 16 PCIe 5.0 and four PCIe 4.0 lanes. Its Adaptive Boost technology enables high multi-core turbo frequencies. In addition, it has a base power of 150W. The Intel Core i9-13900KS is compatible with Z790 and Z690 motherboards. The company recommends that users install the latest BIOS for the best possible experience.
The Intel Core i9-13900KS is now available to retail worldwide as a boxed product with a starting price of US$699 (approx. Rs. 57,000). In addition, this processor will be integrated into the systems of Intel and its original equipment manufacturers (OEM). Intel has also announced that a special edition version of this processor is also available.
intel recently announced a whole range of new laptop and desktop processors CES 2023. These include new additions to the 13th Gen Intel Core family that come with no overclocking support. They will be compatible with 700 series and 600 series motherboards. The flagship Intel Core i9 has also received three new 8+16 core versions.
