Google Chrome for Android, iOS, Windows and macOS has started receiving a new beta update. The Google Chrome 110 Beta update includes general improvements and fixes as well as some new features that are being introduced. Google Chrome 110 Beta offers, among other things, additional setting options for Google Translate for Chrome and improved start behavior of web apps on desktops.
Google Chrome has received its first update following the new one announced Early Access Beta Rollout Schedule. The newly introduced rollout schedule calls for an early access beta, followed by a stable early access update a week before the broader fully stable release.
In this regard, the beta version of Google Chrome 110 was released by Google for Android, iOS, ChromeOS, Chrome OS Flex, window, Macand Linux.
The alphabet’s own search giant announced the new Google Chrome 110 beta channel update via an official blog post while also listing the major improvements, fixes and additions of the latest version.
Google Chrome’s translation settings are getting improvements on Chrome 110 with the latest early access beta, including new settings options that allow toggles between Always or Never for different languages. These settings are made available in the browser settings menu at the address chrome://settings/language.
Desktop apps on Windows, Mac, and Linux are seeing an improvement in web app launch behavior, allowing users to launch web apps on desktops in two ways – from a new window or from an already open web app window.
Google Chrome users can now also implement CSS code that allows initial letters to be displayed in large fonts. A new CSS class also makes it easier for developers to use styling controls in picture-picture videos and other media elements. A new Web Audio API has also been introduced, allowing users to select their preferred audio output device.
