Poco is reportedly planning to expand its F-series lineup with Poco F5 5G 5G, which is expected to succeed the Poco F4 that made its debut in 2022. Although there is no official information from the brand, the handset’s expected features and specifications have been spotted online. The phone previously appeared on several certification sites. Now, a popular tipster has claimed that production of the smartphone has already started in some markets.
Popular tipster Mukul Sharma (Twitter: @stufflistings) uncovered via Twitter that the series production of the upcoming Poco F5 5G has already started in European and Eurasian countries. This suggests that the phone could be launched in different markets in the coming months. He also said that Poco’s upcoming smartphone has also received TÜV Rheinland certification.
The Poco F5 5G was before sighted on the EEC certification page with model number 23013PC75G. The phone is set to appear as a rebranded version of the Redmi K60, which launched in China in December last year. The phone should be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The Chinese, Indian and Global variants of the phone were also reportedly spotted on the IMEI website with model numbers 23013RK75C, 23013PC75I and 23013PC75G respectively.
In the meantime, xiaomi recently pointed out the upcoming launch of the Redmi K60 series in India and the expected price at a launch event for the Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones. During the event, the company announced that the Redmi K60 series as well as other premium smartphones from Xiaomi will cost over Rs 30,000 in India. the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Proand Redmi K60E were started in China at a starting price of 2,499 CNY (approx. Rs. 30,000), 3,299 CNY (approx. Rs. 40,000) and 2,199 CNY (approx. Rs. 26,000).
The Redmi K60 sports a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED display (1440 x 3200 pixels), a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a triple rear camera led by a 64-megapixel primary lens. It also packs a 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging. It also offers a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sample rate of 480Hz.
