Head2Head Sensory Theatre, a disability theater charity in Surrey, will make their debut appearance at the Brighton Fringe – the biggest annual arts festival in England.
The Chicken Circus, a Macaton-friendly multi-sensory show, flutters into Brighton Memorial Hall, 3 Old London Road, Patcham, BN1 8XR on 20th and 21st May 2023.

Chicken Circus, a sensory adaptation of the late Terry Jones’ children’s story Animal Tales, is the colorful tale of Mr. Fox, who steals chickens to train them to be circus performers.
The Makaton Friendly Show is an inclusive, high-energy, interactive sensory performance written specifically for audiences with special needs and disabilities (SEND). A hilarious and hugely popular show with bright backdrops, puppetry, music, sensory props and costumes designed to inspire and encourage participation.
Anni continues, “’Chicken Circus’ came about when we performed at a library and chose ‘Animal Tales’ as our story book. The story “Chicken Circus” was so well received that families rushed to the shelves to borrow the book.
“We would like to dedicate this special performance to Terry Jones. Not only has he been an outstanding supporter since the beginning of our charity, but he also attended many of our performances and gave us permission to adapt some of his stories for special needs audiences. When news of his death broke in 2020, Head2Head performed ‘Chicken Circus’ in a fitting tribute to a remarkable man.”
Head2Head Sensory Theater is a special needs charity that is at the forefront of creating inclusive theater opportunities for children and young people with a variety of disabilities.
Brighton Fringe is the largest annual multi-arts open access festival in England. Next year’s festival will take place from May 5th to June 4th 2023 and is a celebration of music, theatre, dance, arts, film, literature, debate, outdoor and community events in venues and venues across Europe Brighton, Hove and Sussex.
