Apple TV+ has announced its movies and original series roster for the first half of 2023, with notable titles on the roster including Ted Lasso returning for a third season in Spring 2023. Apple’s streaming service has also released a single teaser image for the upcoming season, which will pit titular character Ted (Jason Sudeikis) against his apprentice-turned-nemesis Nate (Nick Mohammed), which will likely be the key theme of the upcoming season . The new season doesn’t have a firm release date for now, but it could likely arrive in March or April.
Season 3 of Ted Lasso is expected to be the show’s final season, according to EW report These quotes feature writer Brett Goldstein saying, “We write it like this, it was planned as three”. The end of second season saw Nate leave his position at fictional football club AFC Richmond under Ted to take the position of head coach at rival club West Ham United. The picture shows Ted and Nate facing each other, presumably before a game between the two clubs.
Additionally, Jennifer Garner will star in The Last Thing He Told Me (out April), a mystery thriller based on Laura Dave’s 2021 book of the same name. The series revolves around Hannah (Jennifer Garner), a woman who must develop a relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) in order to uncover the truth about her husband’s mysterious disappearance.
The series list also includes Hello Tomorrow! (coming February 17) starring Billy Crudup as a lunar timeshare seller, Shrinking (January 27) starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, and Shape Island (coming January 20), a stop-motion animated show for younger viewers and Families with a story by Yvette Nicole Braun.
