The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt New Gen Edition will be released as a physical copy later this week. Starting January 26th, stores around the world – including India – will be offering boxed editions of the critically acclaimed RPG for PS5 and Xbox Series X. The announcement comes shortly after CD Projekt Red announced the heavily delayed next-gen (now , current-gen) version of the game as a digital upgrade for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X in December. Key highlights included improved graphics with ray tracing support, a photo mode, faster loading times on console, and a variety of mods built into the pack.
India is among the first countries to receive physical copies The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt New generation versions, alongside US, UK, France and most of Europe. Pre-orders in India are now live at GamesTheShop at Rs. 2,999 for both platforms. However, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Lebanon will not receive a PS5 release until January 26th. Australia and New Zealand will get their share on January 27th, while the South American countries will get theirs on January 31st. Japan is set to receive this only a much later release of the PS5 version, on February 9th, while the release date for Brazil is yet to be determined. Character models have been greatly improved throughout the game and a new optional shoulder camera for Geralt will be added, similar to God of War (2018) and Batman: Arkham Knight. Then there are map filters that help remove pesky question marks or symbols that clutter the map and differ heavily from open-world titles such as elden ring and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Reduced map markers bring a new sense of wonder and curiosity as you explore the continent. With the update, you can now also pause the game during cutscenes, a feature that wasn’t available in the original version.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-gen update is available now personal computer, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. Physical editions (CD) will be available on PS5 and PS5 from January 26th Xbox Series X.
