Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves just got a new trailer. After first being revealed at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, this new trailer offers a better look at the villains, tons of Easter eggs, and chaotic events unfolding as if players had rolled multiple ones on the dice. Originally slated for a July 2021 release, the feature adjustment suffered multiple delays thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic and other internal issues before finally settling on a 2023 decline. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves hits theaters worldwide on March 31st.

The trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves opens wisely by showing the stark contrast in personality between the main characters; Holga the Barbarian (Michelle Rodriguez) brutally beat up some idiots while the cowardly bard Edgin (Chris Kiefer) avoids getting his hands dirty by trying to cut the rope handcuffs by rubbing the stairs vigorously. “You know what? I think there are probably sharper levels elsewhere,” he yells as Holga continues to solo the bandit team. We are then reminded of the film’s premise, in which Edgin leads a pack of renegade adventurers on a fantastical journey on the Search leads to an ancient relic, a mysterious magical horn that our heroes themselves accidentally gave to the wrong person and unleashed the “greatest evil the world has ever known.”

“The Red Wizards have created an army of the undead,” Xenk (Regé-Jean Page), a very serious paladin, describes the situation to our heroes, who start conjuring up ideas to complete the mission. the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Trailer then shifts the focus to each of their abilities – Sophia Lilis (It: chapter two) is Doric the shapeshifter who can transform into various animals and even allows her to navigate through tiny crevices. In the meantime, Justice Smith (Detective Pikachu) plays Simon the Wizard, who is extremely unpredictable in the way he casts spells.

We are then shown glimpses of her battle against one of Thay’s Red Wizards, Sofina (Daisy Head), who is seen summoning a ghostly, fleshy hand to grasp Doric. As previously mentioned, the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves trailer is packed with Easter eggs for the fans – some of which have been detailed in one IGN interview with co-directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. First we have a chunky version of the Embershard. “Embershad is known in lore as a wolverine. And that’s why we really wanted to explore that idea with one of our kites,” explained Daley. “We wanted each of our dragons to be special because people know what dragons look like.” Dark Souls Players, on the other hand, should be able to spot the mimic chest opening wide when triggered with a sharp bit.

The film seems to draw heavily on the playful nature of the tabletop role-playing game of the same name. It also plays stars Hugh Grant as Forge Fitzwilliam, the cunning villain who befriends our heroes before developing his own agenda. The actor previously suggested that the film has a “Monty Python sensibility” when it comes to humor.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is released March 31 in cinemas worldwide. In India, the film will also be available in Tamil and Telugu.
