The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will not appear until April

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released in April at the earliest. In its most recent earnings report, co-publisher Nacon confirmed that the highly anticipated action-adventure title is targeting a launch in the first half of fiscal 2023-24. This means an April to September 2023 release window. Originally slated for a 2021 release, this marks the third delay for the game, with developer Daedalic Entertainment previously claiming to have delayed the launch by merely “a couple of months.” This new one Development pushes the timeline even further to 2023.

Daedalic most recent update was last September – a delay to ensure The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was in the best technical condition when it was released. At the time, the footage also showed a floating mechanic with an oxygen meter. However, it was shot in a first-person perspective, which raises the question of whether you can switch camera angles at will. All other gameplay footage was from the third person perspective.
