Twitter users will be able to challenge account suspensions and be evaluated under the social media platform’s new reinstatement criteria starting Feb. 1, the company said on Friday.

Among the new criteria that billionaire follow Elon Musk’s Purchase of the company in October, Twitter Accounts will only be suspended for serious or persistent and repeated violations of the platform’s policies.

Serious policy violations include, but are not limited to, engaging in illegal content or activities, inciting or threatening violence or harm, or specifically harassing other users.

Twitter said that in the future it will take less stringent measures compared to account suspension, e.g. For example, limiting the reach of tweets that violate its policies or requiring users to remove tweets before continuing to use the account.

In December, Musk came under fire for suspending the accounts of several journalists over a controversy over the release of public data about the billionaire’s plane. He later restored the accounts.

A few days ago, Twitter owner Elon Musk too tweeted via a higher-priced subscription to the social media platform that does not contain advertising. The billionaire called ads “too common and too big” on Twitter and assured that steps will be taken in the coming weeks to address these issues. It’s important to note here that Twitter derives nearly 90 percent of its revenue from digital ad sales. Musk recently blamed rights organizations for the “massive drop in sales” that has been attributed to pressure on brands to pause their Twitter ads.

In January, the microblogging site also announced the price of a Twitter Blue The subscription for Android costs 11 US dollars (about 900 rupees) per month, similar to the fee for iOS subscribers. However, the company offered web users a cheaper annual plan compared to the monthly fees. The higher prices for Android users likely offset the fees charged by Android’s Google Play Store as well as Apple’s App Store.
