dr Sameer is a medical industry professional who currently serves as both a Clinical Data Instructor at the Q-Centrix Institute and assists in Physician Quality Management at the Cleveland Clinic Martin Health in Florida. He has spent more than 15 years in public health and quality assurance, including supporting New York State’s COVID-19 contact tracing initiative. At the QCentrix Institute, Dr. Sameer responsible for creating training materials and delivering staff training in hospitals and medical facilities nationwide, with a focus on heart disease awareness and intervention. Based on his many years of industry experience, Dr. Sameer’s work at the Cleveland Clinic focuses on ensuring quality care from all physicians and other dependent providers, managing care audits, and ensuring future compliance.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Sameer has worked with the International Red Cross and the World Health Organization to support projects to assess health needs in long-term care and rehabilitation facilities, primary health centers and emergency departments. He has helped stakeholders design projects to meet the needs identified by the program and create programs to fill those gaps, from durable equipment and consumables to creating new workforce plans. During his time at the World Health Organization, Dr. Sameer administers multiple multimillion-dollar grants to provide essential care, manage referrals, and alleviate communicable diseases in refugee camps.

At the beginning of his career, Dr. Sameer served as the Clinical Review Coordinator for the New York State Cardiac Surgery and PCI Registry, which included collecting and analyzing data from more than 60 cardiac surgery centers statewide. He is proud to report that despite managing tens of thousands of records, he has never encountered a data breach or other privacy concern at any point in his career. dr Sameer has published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Medicine, Conflict, and Survival and for publications in the Sultan Qaboos University Medical Journal throughout his career. He has also contributed to the publication of annual reports on cardiac surgery and PCI for adults in New York State.

dr Sameer holds a Bachelor of Medicine, a Bachelor of Surgery from Mosul University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Liverpool in 2012. He has completed postgraduate training including a Professional Diploma in Large Population Health Emergencies at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and several other training courses around the world.
