Moto G72 Reportedly Seen on Several Certification Websites Hinting at Imminent Launch

The Moto G72 has reportedly been spotted on a number of certification websites, indicating that a global launch may be imminent for the device. The device has reportedly been discovered on the websites of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), the FCC, and IMEI. The Motorola phone is anticipated to be released in India after the Moto G32 and Moto G62 smartphones. The Moto G71 5G, which made its debut in India earlier this year, is likely to be replaced by it.

According to MySmartPrice, the Moto G72 smartphone has the model number XT2255 and can be found in the IMEI database, TDRA, FCC, and BIS certifications. The BIS listing implies that the phone will also be introduced in India. These certifications provide an early indication of the smartphone’s specifications.

The alleged Moto G72’s FCC listing indicates that it will include a battery with the model number NE50, which is said to have a 5,000mAh capacity. According to a MySmartPrice report citing a DEMKO certification, the phone may support 33W fast charging. The FCC certification also suggests support for NFC and Bluetooth connectivity options in addition to the battery size.

As previously mentioned, the Moto G72 might follow the release of the Moto G32 and Moto G62. Both of these phones debuted in India earlier this month with ThinkShield Security, Snapdragon 6-series SoCs, and 5,000mAh batteries. The Moto G62 receives 20W fast charging for the 5,000mAh battery capacity, whereas the Moto G32 supports 33W TurboPower fast charging.

The Moto G72 is most likely the Moto G71 5G’s successor, which debuted in India in January. It is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging using the included 33W TurboPower charger and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 SoC.
